When my twin daughters were about to turn thirteen, they both wanted beach cruisers as their birthday presents. I had initial reservations to accede to their birthday requests because of the fear that they might encounter an accident while using their beach cruisers particularly when using it on public areas. Notwithstanding any explanation I offer, my daughters really begged that they be given the thing they wished for but when they said all of their friends already have one, I just gave in and told them I will buy it for them. We bought the beach cruisers a day before their birthday and seeing my daughters get very excited was a real joy to see for any mother. When I asked them if they have a particular store in mind, they immediately told one that is located just near the beach. What surprised me more was when we got to the store and the store manager welcomed us and thanked my daughters for coming back. It was only then that I knew that my daughters had been frequenting this store and were already canvassing for beach cruisers as if they were very sure that I would buy them what they wanted. It took us less than fifteen minutes to complete the purchase the beach cruisers. After paying for the bike and getting out of the store, my two daughters immediately asked permission to try it along the lane designated for bicycles and beach cruisers. It was a great feeling to see my daughters get so excited and happily ride on their beach cruisers.
